Rapid progress in artificial intelligence promises to revolutionize the way we work, live, and connect. However, this same disruptive AI has largely relied on decades-old, outdated computer architecture, which is inadequate for running AI-based applications, let alone neural networks, at scale in resource-constrained environments.
Hailo has taken this challenge head on by developing the Hailo-8TM, a unique, specialized deep learning processor that delivers the performance of a data center-class computer straight to edge devices. Hailo’s platform enables smart devices to run sophisticated deep learning tasks with minimal power consumption, size, and cost. Processing data right at the edge without the need to transfer data to the cloud makes devices more powerful, versatile, responsive, and secure. It also eliminates the significant tradeoff current processors often face between cost and performance. This chip brings visual intelligence and sensory perception to a new level for multiple industries including automotive, smart cities, smart homes, smart retail, and industry 4.0.

Advantages of our technology:
Hailo’s innovative structure-defined data flow has a completely redesigned processor architecture, with a distributed on-chip memory fabric (no external memory), novel control schemes, efficient interconnect, and a full-stack software toolchain. A single Hailo-8™ processor features up to 26 tera operations per second (TOPS), significantly exceeding other edge processors in area and power efficiency. Hailo’s chip performed image classification inference tasks such as ResNet-50 at 20 times more power efficiency than other leading chip providers.
