Features

Applicants are drawn from all around the world and must pass stringent screening, so the standard is extremely high. Interpreters are on hand for one-on-one meetings with local companies,* so both parties can meet and talk with confidence, and we offer advice to those who are daunted by the prospect of cross-border one-on-one business meetings. GIF is held entirely online, so you can participate and attend from wherever you like.
*Interpreters are available only during the prescribed GIF meeting period.

Feedback from Previous GIF Participants

Parts manufacturing company, mid-size, Osaka

We met with an Indian startup whose technologies had impressed us. We were looking to invest in the company or pursue a technical tie-up. Having OCCI and the overseas institution that recommended the Indian company alongside us made the process very smooth.

We were interested in the technologies of a food-industry start up. We had a meeting and they have sent us some samples, and we are looking into distributing them in Japan.

AInformation about each exhibiting startup’s technologies, business, and hopes for partnering with Japanese companies is available on that company’s Online Exhibits page, along with videos of their live pitches, which provide further detail about what they’re looking for in partnership.
