Redefine Meat's mission is to produce the perfect steak without the need for animals. Instead of cows, the company utilizes plant-based ingredients, proprietary meat modeling and industrial-scale 3D food printers, targeting meat distributors, restaurants and retailers. Redefine Meat has developed patent-pending technology that replicates the texture, flavor, and eating experience of beef and other high-value meat products. The company uses plant-based ingredients and technology as an alternative to animals, allowing for a dramatically more efficient, sustainable and moral way to produce meat without compromising on consumer experience. Advantages of our technology:
Alternative meat options currently available can only compete with the lower end of the comparable animal-meat products . in terms of cost, quality and range. Nowadays, limitations of production technology do not enable the production of high-quality complex matrix of alternative meat. Working with leading butchers, chefs and food technologists, Redefine Meat has digitally mapped more than 70 sensorial parameters into its Alt-Steak product, including premium beef cut, texture, juiciness, fat distribution, and mouthfeel. Incorporated in the precise 3D printing technology, we have created 3 separate formulations to represent the functional and sensorial attributes of muscle, fat, and blood in meat: “Alt-muscle”, “Alt-fat”, “Alt-blood”. By doing that, we can independently focus on each aspect of the Alt-Steak product, the combination between them, and precisely control what happens inside the matrix. These capabilities are unique to our 3D printing technology enabling Redefine Meat to create the perfect food product. By doing so, we set a new level of innovation in the meat alternatives category with a breakthrough that will appeal to the palette of not only vegetarians and flexitarians, but also meat lovers.
