ELWAVE DESIGNS, MANUFACTURES AND SELLS ELECTROMAGNETIC DETECTION, NAVIGATION AND CHARACTERISATION SYSTEMS BASED ON THE PATTENTED CEDAR™ TECHNOLOGY INSPIRED FROM THE ELECTRIC SENSE, A PERCEPTION MODE USED BY SOME TROPICAL FISHS.

Advantages of our technology：
CEDAR™ technology stands for Controlled Electric Detection And Ranging, inspired from the electric sense, the sensory mode used by fish living in tropical, murky and congested water habitats, where vision and sonar are ineffective. These types of fish generate an electric field (an “electric sensory bubble”) and analyse disturbances in this field caused by surroundings to deduce the presence of an object, its position, shape and nature (insulating or conducting).

Born out of 10 years’ of research led by Nantes School of Engineering (“Institut Mines-Télécom”), ELWAVE solutions provide a unique combination of abilities in the field of detection technologies.

Our business model：
Elwave is looking for partnerships with Japanese companies which design or use subsea drones in the scientific, offshore energy and communication or Defense applications.
Our sensor are avaialble in 300m and 6000m depth rating to integrate AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle), ROV (remotely Operated Vehicle) or towed ROTV (Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle) fpr the following applications:
-buried mines detections
-subsea communication and power cables tracking and depth of burial survey
-obstacle avoidance (omnidirectional perception of the environment)
-seabed minerals identification
